About

Remaining Daze is all about having a good time, playing high-energy, heavy rock music, primarily associated with the subgenre known as “stoner rock”. Think: Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Truckfighters, Dozer, Greenleaf, Green Lung, Hermano, Unida, Valley of the Sun, Fu Manchu, Black Rainbows, The Sword, Lowrider, and Witchrider with some Metallica, Corrosion of Conformity, Royal Blood and Alice in Chains thrown in there. We love fuzzy, heavy, down-tuned guitars and catchy, groovy riffs, thundering bass, attention-grabbing drums, gritty dynamic vocals, and smart songs that hit a nerve and have something important or at least interesting to say.

RD began as a project of founder/guitarist Cliff Stevens, back in 2015, as a means and excuse to write, record and release songs with other musicians from around the world. When Cliff and his wife moved from Pennsylvania USA to Cochabamba, Bolivia S.A. in 2018, the solo project morphed into the form of a band finally landing on a solid lineup with Leo on vocals (a dedicated craftsman on the mic and a unifying force on the stage), Martín on Lead Guitar (a hard-rocking beer-lover with slithery licks), Tincho on Drums (a Bonham-inspired pounder with power, groove and swing), and Pablo on Bass (a tarantula on the fretboard with the sonics of a stampeding herd of buffalo).

Leo – Vocals: Leonardo Valda was born on August 24, 1989, in La Paz, Bolivia, and currently resides in Cochabamba. He is a rock singer with a notable career as a vocalist in two bands: Naked Warning in La Paz and O.Q.O in Cochabamba, exploring the indie and progressive genres, respectively.
His main influences include metal, progressive rock, indie rock, and stoner rock, with standout bands such as Alter Bridge, Soundgarden, Lamb of God, Opeth, Twelve Foot Ninja, The Strokes, The Blue Stones, Royal Blood, Queens of the Stone Age, and Greenleaf, among others.
His greatest dream is to make a living doing what he loves and to leave a lasting mark on the world, firmly believing that this legacy is the key to immortality.
Pablo – Bass: Pablo Alejandro Navia Arzabe, born on September 27, 1983, in the city of Cochabamba, began his musical journey at the age of 15 in junior high school, playing guitar in his group Suck It (1998-2002). Throughout his musical career he never stopped playing in various projects, being part of No Code (2003-2007), playing the bass in Grind (2004-2006), Oil (2007) consolidating his experiences with his main group Chili Jam in 2009 to present. Owner of Sub Pub, originally a cafe/bar and concert venue, now parlayed into an event production and band management business, he was able to expand his participation as a session player with recognized national groups such as Electroshock and Los Tocayos, to name a few. His influences include Grunge, Hard Rock and Progressive Rock. Pablo joined Remaining Daze in 2023 as the band’s official Bassist, feeling a strong musical connection with everyone in the band.
Tincho – Drums: Born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, on September 2, 1995, Tincho Aneyba is the rhythmic force driving Remaining Daze. Tincho began drumming professionally in 2010, performing in small anime conventions and underground gigs before becoming a fixture in Cochabamba’s rock and metal scene. Over the years, he has played with a broad range of acts, including Man-drill, O.Q.O, Time Out, Usual Suspects, jazz solo artist Nelson Peñaranda, Culto Calavera, and Earrape band. His versatility has taken him from mosh pits to concert halls, including a standout performance with the Cochabamba Symphony Orchestra accompanying opera singer Gastón Paz in 2017. Beyond performance, he has been an educator at EPA Cochabamba since 2017, mentoring a new generation of drummers.
Influenced by icons like John Bonham, Joey Jordison, Chad Smith, Shinpei Nakayama and Kiyoshi Ijichi, Tincho’s sound reflects both old-school power and modern technicality. Combining grooves of classic rock with the precision and aggression of contemporary metal, creating a dynamic signature that adapts across genres—from delicate pop textures to full-scale heavy assaults. His musical influences draw inspiration from bands such as Radiohead, Chevelle, Deftones, AKFG, Depeche Mode, Lamb of God, and Tool, blending their rhythmic and emotional depth into his own evolving language behind the kit.
In technical terms, Tincho’s approach emphasizes control, posture, and projection. His playing is loud yet balanced, powerful yet fluid. He favors the resonance of 90s Pearl Forum drums and the bright precision of Sabian AAX cymbals, using tight, ringy snare tunings and resonant toms to carve a tone that commands presence in both live and studio environments.
Tincho’s philosophy is distilled in one mantra: never stop playing. For him, drumming is both ritual and release, Tincho sees drums as a lifestyle, the constant through every project and every stage. Whatever the music style he’s playing, he approaches each performance with the same conviction: groove smooth as a butterfly, strike hard as lightning.
Martín – Lead Guitar: Martin Arrayago (Marteen) was born on December 27, 1985, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his musical career at the age of 15, playing guitar as a self-taught artist, influenced by musical styles such as hard rock, heavy metal, thrash metal, punk rock, rock, and blues. His most influential bands include Guns ‘n’ Roses, Pantera, Black Sabbath, and the Ramones, among others. Marteen began his musical career in a band called Bloody Mary during his adolescence and early youth. He later joined bands such as Gran Cirrosis, Olrai, and Mono de la Luna, all from his native country. In 2020, he decided to move to Bolivia to pursue his solo career. In 2021, he met Cliff (founder of Remaining Daze) and joined his project, which continues to this day.
